DISCRETIONARY GRANTS

  • The Tribal Youth Program (TYP) is designed to support and enhance tribal efforts to prevent and control delinquency and improve the juvenile justice system for American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN) youth. A major focus of TYP is providing AI/AN youth with mental health services. Up to 10 percent of the allocation will be invested in program-related research, evaluation, and statistics on tribal activity.
