www.it.ojp.gov - Through the Information Technology Initiatives, BJA will continue to help the criminal justice system share information by providing research and guidance on strategic planning and governance; standards, infrastructure, and architecture; privacy and information quality; security; and resource management issues.

Global Justice Information Network - a group of key officials from federal, state, tribal and local and other justice-related organizations. BJA will bring together representatives from the justice community to overcome the barriers to share justice information across agencies, disciplines and levels of government.

Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) This program brief discusses the key program elements and accomplishments of the RISS Program, the only multijurisdictional criminal intelligence system operated by and for state and local law enforcement agencies. Six RISS centers serve nearly 6,000 law enforcement agencies in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Australia, Canada, and England.

Integrated Justice Systems in American Indian Communities Planning Series: Understanding The Tribal Justice and Law Enforcement Environment The following series of articles will articulate important background information to consider in designing systems integration by drawing from the current experience of the New Mexico Crime Data Project, supported by the Bureau of Justice Statistics. This article describes tribal justice and law enforcement history and evolution, as well as factors that are the impetus for movement towards integrated justice systems among the three Pueblos.

SEARCH Policy Issue Brief - Sharing Criminal Record Information Among New Mexico Tribes and State SEARCH, The National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics sponsored a Policy Issue Brief which provides the information about how the New Mexico tribal-state collaboration effort demonstrates a way to both retain tribal sovereignty and improve data sharing across jurisdictions.

The Tribal Justice Information Sharing System (TJISS) developed a DVD that will help tribes assess their technological needs and how best to fulfill them. TJISS is mailing pamphlets to all tribes. The free DVD will be available in a couple of months.
